Obituary of Alexis Nicole Arias

ARIAS, ALEXIS “LEXI” NICOLE

Born December 28, 1990, and left us way too soon on October 29, 2023.

Lexi was born in Longmont, CO to parents Danny and Robyn Arias.

Always trying to better herself and provide the best life possible for her children she went to school to become a licensed Esthetician. She worked around Boulder County for several years doing what she loved but found the retail hours and 2020 to be a turning point and she felt she needed to be available on weekends and evenings for her children, she pointed her career toward working with children with Special Needs, as a para, for the St Vrain Valley School District at Longmont Estates Elementary. She loved the children and her co workers but found that she needed to make more money. In January of 2023 she accepted a position with Boulder Community Hospital, and their Medical Assistant Apprentice program. This allowed her to work full time and take an accelerated course toward her certification. This is where she truly excelled. She completed the course with a 4.0 grade point average and made the Administrator’s List. She was pinned this summer. After working in Boulder for several months she made the difficult decision to change jobs to be closer to home. She had just started her job at UC Health in Longmont. She loved what she was doing and had just enrolled to start classes toward becoming a Registered Nurse.

To Lexi those were jobs and she was always trying to put herself in a better position financially and security wise for her kids, who were her real career and her absolute heart and joy. She was an amazing mom to Chance and Addison.

Lexi is survived by her true loves Chance and Addi, her parents, her brother Adam and his wife Holly Haakenson and nephews Dawkin and Braxtin, her sister Danna and brother-in-law Bobby Armijo, her bonus brother Shaun Kenny and his wife Samantha Garcia-Kenny, her boy friend Taylor Johnson, Uncle Pat and Aunt Jackie Arias, Aunt Carol Arias, her cousin and Best Friend Aly Lemming and numerous cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Joe and Patti Arias, maternal grandparents Bob and Sherrie Schwab, Uncle Joe Arias, Aunt Cathy Arias, and Uncle Kevin Schwab.

A celebration in Lexi’s honor will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 12 -3 at the Longmont Moose Lodge, 2201 Pratt St.
