Obituary of Christopher Teixeira

Christopher Jackson Teixeira was born October 19, 1989 in Newark, New Jersey to Jeanie Brown and Donald Teixeira.

At 6 months old, Christopher and his mother moved back to Russell, Arkansas to live with Grandma Kathy Cloyes.

Christopher was joined in the family by little brother Donald on September 2, 1990. The family spent many happy years in Arkansas.  During his childhood Christopher, Donald and Kathy also lived in Chatsworth, Georgia and Gardendale, Alabama.  The family moved to Colorado in 2014.

Christopher’s family includes half- brothers and sisters through his father; Heather Teixeira, Vincent Texeira, Anthony Teixeira, and Robert Teixeira; also, through his mother Courtney Allison and Logan Brown.  Christopher was preceded in death by his father and other family members who loved and cared for him including step-grandpa Mike Yaw, great-grandmother Marcelle Burrow and “Papaw” Burrow.

Christopher was the light and joy in Grandma Kathy’s life and Donald’s best friend.  As Chris’s physical needs increased, Donald became an amazing caretaker for Chris as well as his loyal brother.

The memorial service for Christopher will be at the Longmont Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 12 o’clock, noon.  Contributions to a memorial fund honoring Chris may be made to the church.
